Rochester Mills 12 Days of Christmas - Chocolate Chip Pancake Stout
The Brothers of Discussion are excited and proud to present their first beer tasting of the network. We’re going festive for the holiday season and decided to sample Rochester Mills’ 12 Days of Christmas Beer Package. The Brothers will be tasting the beers for a flavor match to the beer’s name, drinkability, the packaging, and provide an overall score (weighted by the drinkability).
Rochester Mills is Michigan Brewery, famous in the state for its 12 Days of Christmas Box Set. Release on an annual basis, the brewery tinkers with the list of 12 beers, but always follows through with a smooth, milk-like base.
First up on the list is the Chocolate Chip Pancake Stout. Brewed with chocolate and cocoa nibs, this Milkshake stout is promising a return to the family breakfast table to indulge in a sweet, chocolatey plate of warm, soft, pancakes.
On top of the Milkshake feel is a new list of twelve beers.
Red Wings Prospect Update
Another hub model is on the table for next season
From Greg Wyshinski of ESPN:
"We are exploring the possibility of playing in our own buildings without fans [or] fans where you can, which is going to be an arena-by-arena issue. But we're also exploring the possibility of a hub. You'll come in. You'll play for 10 to 12 days. You'll play a bunch of games without traveling. You'll go back, go home for a week, be with your family. We'll have our testing protocols and all the other things you need," he said.
Bettman also indicated that the NHL is exploring "a hybrid, where some teams are in a bubble, some teams play at home and you move in and out."
This is great news, from our perspective. This would mark the first major steps by a sports league to recognize the severity of COVID-19 in organizing a full regular season. Allowing the severity of the virus to dictate a safety-first approach is not all you can ask of the league and we could expect more, but this is a great start.
We’ve already seen failings in the MLB’s attempts to play and some improvements from the NFL’s journey, but knowing that the NHL is at least considering taking precautionary matters a mile beyond their rival leagues, is good and dare we say, a leap outside of the norm. The NHL usually drags their feet in these types of situations, so it would be refreshing to see them get out in front of the issue and nip in the bud.
Another major benefit to Gary’s proposal is that the players would receive some much deserved time off. In times like these, it is easy to see how anyone could struggle mentally, and allowing players potential weeks at a time to spend with their loved ones and friends would do wonders for their morale, their mental state, and their happiness.
