The Detroit Red Wings broke through a couple of different walls they’ve had trouble with all season: Winning two in a row, beating the Blackhawks, and scoring a Power Play goal.
We also got to see Evgeny Svechnikov play in his first game this season. He scored his first goal and helped Nielsen look respectable, and provided a legit scoring threat beyond the first line.
The Red Wings are now losers of 4 straight against the Blackhawks thanks to missed opportunities, Chicago’s goaltending, and poor player from Detroit’s leaders, in Dylan Larkin and Anthony Mantha.
After losing the first three games to the Blackhawks, the Red Wings are hoping to end this series with a split and send Chicago packing.
