RIP Big Van Vader

It appears we’ve lost another one of our heroes in the wrestling world this week. Big Van Vader died this past Monday and we wish his loved ones a respectful and peaceful grieving period.

Vader will be remembered for a long time and for a lot of things, but for my brother and I, it starts with our backyard wrestling antics and acting out Vader’s entrance and of course,  hitting each other with the Vader bomb. Without his ‘larger than life’ persona that came packaged with unbelievable abilities, for a man of his size, wrestling and the world we know wouldn’t be the same.

I hope his family knows we appreciate everything he’s done for pro wrestling and how he helped shaped our fandom.
