Red Wings Trade Wire and Adam Erne Continue to Heat Up
Red Wings vs Hurricanes
The Red Wings win in a shootout over the Carolina Hurricanes
Carolina (should) always win the CF% battle
Wings Play Smarter and win xGF%
Mrazek and Greiss both play like poopoo
Worth noting Rasmussen and Svechnikov end the game with the highest marks for xGF%
Goals from Mantha, Larkin, Filppula, and Adam Erne
Shootout wasn’t a complete shit show for Greiss and Erne gets the winner
Adam Erne
Erne scores his 10th of the season. Gets a shootout winner. Evolving Hockey’s RAPM charts continue to show a growing, positively developing, winger. Whether or not the WIngs feel this can pan out into a successful career is still up in the air. But Yzerman did bring him in because he saw something. Is this the gritty, future playoff wunderkind we’ll need to be successful in the postseason?

Merrill a Healthy Scratch for Potential Trade
As the Red Wings move closer to the trade deadline, Jon Merrill was a high-profile scratch in Saturday Night’s contest with the Carolina Hurricanes. While Merrill is cost-effective for any franchise, many pundits have picked the Boston Bruins to be Merrill’s landing spot.
