If you're not excited for tonight's SmackDown Live...then you're not a wrestling fan. In fact, you've never even really like wrestling! You are such a bad fan of wrestling that you think David Arquette winning the World Heavyweight Championship was best for business. Wait...you probably didn't even know that happened. You...YOU! YOU!!!! BAD WRESTLING FAN!!!!
I'm just kidding! You can love and hate whatever you want!
But seriously, tonight's SmackDown Live sounds pretty fun. In case you want more production with your SmackDown Live promos, here's what the WWE posted yesterday:
Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy are too lead off the night. I hope this means Nakamura can look for a new challenger. The usual formula is: win the title, defend it, move on. So, while it'll be interesting to see Randy and Jeff get in the ring, I'm more hopeful that this means Nakamura is going to be doing something new. I'm hopeful, but I smell triple threat in his future.
The night will also feature a Tag Team Championship match. I loved the performance by the New Day and the Bludgeon Brothers. I actually thought it would be good for them to continue the feud, but more importantly, keep the titles on the Bludgeon Brothers. If the New Day win tonight, I'm definitely going to be confused and will question the booking choices and timing, but the other side of my brain will be in the moment and loving it.
The two promos advertised should be very...VERY...juicy! AJ Styles is gonna apologize for losing his cool, but that staying composed might've led to Samoa Joe winning the titles. It'll be interesting to see Joe's response too. I think I mainly just want to know that Styles will be in the ring, so I can tell myself that Joe is getting some revenge.
Of course, the thing I am looking forward to most is the Becky Lynch promo. She should be able to deliver something that feels real and as some have said online, push her into the Stone Cold/Daniel Bryan level of fan support. She's really getting the shaft on this one and the fans feel like they are right there with her. Getting a chance to call out Flair will feel like our opportunity in asking for a new champion. Lynch is a wonderful wrestler and does great work when she gets the chance, on the mic. This is going to be one heck of a show, following three pretty good (some a lot better than others) nights of wrestling in a row.
Let us know what you think in the comments. Which show has been the best? What are you looking forward to the most? What feuds have the most potential?
