On what I consider to be a pretty great Raw, considering the length and all of the week long speculation that turns every show into a very predictable product, the cherry on top (and still pretty predictable) was getting to see the return of the Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose.

Since Seth Rollins couldn't buy a victory, or even a post match breath, while tying to fend off both Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, he brought in his good buddy from the Shield, to help even the odds. In what was a pretty good promo from Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, about respecting the work put in by other superstars, they attributed their success to wanting to be the best.

I'll argue till the cows come home that their motivations are very refreshing. Rather than being a bully (which they kind of are) or cheaters (which they definitely are), they preach that their success comes from working harder than everyone in the back. It actually tells us as wrestling fans that this match will be great. Instead of worrying about one side of the feud getting demolished (I'm looking at you Alexa Bliss), we can head into this match with eager, wide eyes. Ready to absorb two combatants ready to prove that one puts in more work than the other and is truly the better man, wrestler, and performer.

Regardless of the notions inferred for SummerSlam, the extra juice that was added to this match tells us that either the Ziggler and McIntyre train is over or its just getting started. We'll know more, but the lack of communication from Dean Ambrose is similar to wrestlers in the past who have made triumphant returns. Only to turn on the fans for the sake of their own, personal gains. Maybe its time for Dean to turn heel...or not...but I have a feeling something greater than ensuring Seth Rollins continues his tour with the Intercontinental Title will be at stake.

We'll know more come this Sunday!
