Normally you'd see "fan-favorite" or "big name" as the headline of an article like this. It wouldn't make sense, however, to lie to you. Lie to the good people who head to our airwaves and blog space to get day-old news and weird opinions.

I'll be tuning in...like I'm supposed to...like a good boy, because something intriguing usually happens when the Beast, Brock Lesnar, is on set. If you can manage to look away and save your Monday Night. Do it! You'll have a happier and energized Tuesday morning.

I say this because I think we are all done with Brock Lesnar and this long (and boring) title reign. A reign that will hopefully end at the hands of Reigns. A Roman Reigns.

I posted an article last week detailing the sad state of the Universal Title and how that end of that state is nearly in sight. SummerSlam appears to be the new date in which the WWE plans to rid us of Brock Lesnar and crown a new champion in Roman Reigns. That crowning will also mean that Roman Reigns is the 'new' baddest guy in the locker room and we can all go on with the wrestling fan lives we thought we were going to live out...for the past three or four years (depending on when you thought Roman would take over).

I am starting to feel like a cult leader or one of those priests who predicted doomsday in 2012. Once the supposed date passes on, I go right back to the stars, paint over my old sign, and preach the new day in which the world will come to an end.

My most recent sign says SummerSlam 2018, obviously. That supposed 'doomsday' for Brock Lesnar's reign will get a kick start tonight as the beast acknowledges his new opponent and then heads back to the shadows in Minnesota. I was once convinced that he was battling intergalactic opponents to save the Earth, but I now know how absurd that notion truly was. Because Brock Lesnar would let that alien race take over the WWE Universe, enslave us all, and then wave good-bye, laughing...as we were ushered onto our assigned space ships to live out the rest of our lives wishing our Universal Champion had saved us.

I say that because we are being held hostage now, as WWE fans. Not being able to hope for the likes of Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, or Dolph Ziggler. None of them were ever truly contenders to the throne until the 'Big Dog' had rightly claimed his yard. After all, we don't want Roman to be our champion. We need him to. He is a means to an end.

On top of being held hostage, the likes of Impact Wrestling (yuck) have started boasting that their Champion is actually on TV. I'd argue that is a slight to good ol' AJ Styles, but the real disaster is that those gross oddities...you know...the ones that argue Impact is better than the WWE. Because of Lesnar and creative choices...they actually have a leg to stand on this time.

Great...now I vomited for a half hour because I had to think about Impact Wrestling for a minute. Oh god...I typed it...again...BLLLLLLLLLLAAARRRGGGAAFFFFFFF!

So...the money-maker is back. Woohoo....The fact that even I acknowledge this as his nickname doesn't necessarily bode well for the WWE fans (and those of us hoping his title run ends soon), but I'm hoping Money-Maker is changing into a more of an honorary title. One we can thank him for owning as we wave bon voyage to the UFC hopeful.

And he'll be back. He makes money. And money gives us more wrestling.

I just want him far away from the Universal Title...for a long time.

Anyways

As we continue to get more matches booked (so far, five in total), I am loving this card. If you haven't made plans yet, don't forget to be on your couch on August 19th for the biggest show of the summer: SummerSlam!

Ronda Rousey vs Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's Championship
AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship
Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title
Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship
Daniel Bryan vs The Miz
Sunday, August 19th, 7PM EST
