I complain…a lot. I thought I would be less of a complainer once I started this blog because I would be happy doing what I love! Speaking my opinions! What I also love…apparently…is whining and complaining.

I’m not gonna do that with this blog post! Because there is another thing I can add to the list of the things that I love: Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre’s push and storyline!

Of the things that can go ‘wrong’ on WWE programming (I’m looking at you Sami Zayn and Bobby Lashley) there is still a ton of ‘right’. What I said weeks ago was the most underrated aspect of the Superstar Shake-Up, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre continue to impress and make me look like a genius!

Ziggler and McIntyre had an amazing victory last week against two of the most respected names on the roster (Balor and Strowman). This past week was a chance for Ziggler to shine in a singles match against Chad Gable. A match, only a few months ago, Ziggler surely would have lost to boost the ‘young’ members of the roster. Instead, it was a chance for triumph, a continuation of the winning streak, and a new opportunity for us to believe in the push of Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler.

This match was still an incredible show of wrestling talent as Chad Gable still has one of the most impressive looking, dead lift suplexes in the business. This tandem of singles competitors could actually go on for weeks if need be and I'm sure there wouldn't be enough German Suplexes or Super Kicks to take the smile off my face.

I think one of the best things that this streak has going for it, since starting on Monday Night Raw, is how cocky Drew and Dolph have been. The smirks in the ring and laughs during confrontations do absolute wonders for this build.  They knew their partnership could mean big things and damn it all, does it look good.

I’m still trying to pump the brakes on my excitement, because I am a little fearful of the weeks to come. This could turn into a feud for Ziggler and McIntyre and Chad Gable is going to need a save, eventually. Enter Kurt Angle's 'son', Jason Jordan, and the idea American Alpha teaming up again to battle the fiendish duo at an upcoming pay-per-view or some other Monday Night Raw. Doing so would be fun to watch, but a loss for Ziggler and McIntyre is enough to damage the last few weeks of this push and I wouldn’t recommend it (also I am a biased, huge fan of Ziggler…so…please don’t?!)

The fans need to be taught that this is a winning team and a loss to American Alpha would force our brains to revert back to thinking of the Ziggler and McIntyre of old. Drew and Dolph have proved they can climb the ladder of the roster without having to hurt anyone’s character. Heel tactics to beat both the team of Balor and Braun as well as Ziggler over Gable this past week. If the opponent needs to be kept safe, so be it. But these guys could rule the roster if this streak continues. I’m still not sure if this should lead to tag titles or a tandem Universal Title run, but I know its damn entertaining and these two guys are two of the top talents in the WWE. Let it ride!
