Returning to the Pro Wrestling Blog World

July 20, 2020
It’s official. The Brothers of Discussion are getting back into the blogging world of Pro Wrestling.
It wasn’t technically official at the start of the day, but I pulled a classic ‘Me’ and deleted the first draft of our reintroduction blog. In a sense, that was me returning to my truest form of blogging.
I’ll give you a quick snippet of what the old blog said, because I know I won’t be able to do it justice off of the top of my head.
Pro Wrestling Blogging is Tough
I started off by trying to be all poetic with how important both NXT’s Great American Bash and AEW’s Fyter Fest are to their respective company’s. In one corner you had the Champion vs Champion match as Keith Lee takes on Adam Cole. And the other: Chris Jericho taking on Orange Cassidy, the most mysterious and hilarious man in wrestling.
And I continued by sneakily leading on that there was something else special about July 8th, despite not knowing it until this morning.
That something special was my fingers drumming onto my keyboard again. Choosing a more productive and creative path with my free time (also, my parents were coming over to babysit my sweet baby girl, so I was actually able to sit down and think for a couple of minutes).
Of course, I felt I had typed out another ‘Matt Masterpiece’. Never had wrestling felt and read so poetic. Maybe only second to my Ziggler and McIntyre coverage from two years ago.
I left the blog open to reread later for editing purposes only to accidentally close out the window. The world’s gift for this atrocity is a rushed retelling of my attempt to blog as well as play-by-play for how I am fixing it. I guess I’ll see in the Click-Through Rate if my honesty will pay off.
Weekly Pro Wrestling Coverage
Anyhoo!
I wanted you all to know that this blog is coming back with the same mission that we started with: To provide entertainment above all else and to bring to light the ignored or disguised negatives that the pro wrestling world allows to pass through the filter. If you’re a regular listener to the podcast, just know that this blog and forthcoming vlogs will hold true to the same sentiments. Black Lives Matter, Trump sucks, Wear a Mask, etc.
With that being said, I do hope you enjoy the journey we’re trying to restart and I hope you can appreciate the reasoning behind why this blog post exists. I don’t want anyone to think this is clickbait and you should know to go in that this is purely based on opinion and nothing more.
Of course, if we interview someone, they won’t be known as a source. They will have a name. A job. A reason for being interviewed. Some actual news based on fact. You know…like what you should expect from your media types. We want to be better than what is available out there and deliver on a promise we made to ourselves nearly three years ago.
In wrapping up I want to reinforce that this can be a community blog if you let me hear what you think. I am growing and have never stopped trying to find new things to learn (as I hope you will commit to, too). Speak up, speak out, and speak to our community. It makes us feel better when our voices are heard, but we can change the world when we listen to everyone else’s.
Alright, I’m stepping down from the old soapbox.
If you’re a long time fan (Amy…I’m talkin’ to you girl!) I can’t tell you how much I appreciate every visit to the site. If you’re new: stick around, check it out, and let me know what you think. If you’re just popping in: give us a share and hopefully we can grow large enough for us to pop up on your social feed organically.
Check us out here on a weekly basis and don’t forget to check out the Brothers of Discussion here as well:
