With 12 one of the longest match cards of the year, the WWE hopes to send us into 2019 with smiling faces. I very much DOUBT that a majority of these matches WON’T be forgettable, but here we are.

There are some gems on this card: Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles going at it again. Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Asuka should give us a match of the year contender. And we can always trut Seth Rollins to give us a juicy story in the ring with some high flying athleticism.

With Monday Night Raw promising the return of Vince McMahon, we might even get a fun squash match with Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin.

But be prepared for a long night of match counting (meaning counting down from 12 to see how much longer you’ll be awake). Unless I’m missing something, half of these matches have Pre—Show potential. Hopefully they aren’t afraid to pull off a couple 5 minute matches.

That being said, here is that match card and a couple of quick predictions.

And if you want more, don’t forget to check out the podcast where we give a more in depth analysis of TLC.

TLC Match Card - 12 Matches

Mixed Match Challenge Final: R-Truth & Carmella vs Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox

Meh...hopefully, Truth and Carmella pull this one off.

Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy vs Cedric Alexander

Will be another fantastic ad for 205 Live. Cedric might be ready to take the title.

Tables Match: Natalya vs Ruby Riott

I want Ruby to win because I really don’t want to have to watch Natalya drag her dad up the entrance ramp.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro vs The Usos vs The New Day

Triple Threats always seem to offer a dozen ways for competitors to all leave the match without losing anything. It’ll be a good chance for the titles to change hands. Heading into WrestleMania season, the New Day always seems like a top candidate.

Ladder: Bobby Lashley vs Elias

This will be perfect for Lashley to get the win, Elias is Teflon, and Lio Rush will get to be a sneaky douche.

Chairs: Randy Orton vs Rey Mysterio

I really don’t care who wins this one. I feel like Randy should dominate, but he won’t. Rey...like always, will compete.

Drew McIntyre vs Finn Balor

I’m getting tired of typing but after this long build...Drew should be due for a Rumble victory or a shot at the number one contender spot, meaning Finn is in more need of a win. But, if Monday is going to have a number one contender’s match, then Drew will win and then he’ll beat Braun Strowman.

Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs Nia Jax

Its definitely not time for Rousey to lose and I think Nia is going to tumble down the ladder after this feud is complete.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose

If Dean was supposed to win clean, he wouldn’t be scared to go face to face with Seth on RAW. He’ll cheat...and win...and give Seth a chance at the Universal Championship.

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles

Daniel is going to give us great things for the next couple of months. He won’t do it without the WWE Championship. AJ will find something else to keep his interest and we’ll all be happy to see him return to the Royal Rumble as an entrant.

TLC Match: Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin

Was it not obvious enough that the WWE wants to blame their recent failures on Baron Corbin? For them to get the easy out, the WWE just needs Strowman to win. They’ll send Strowman onto something more interesting and the WWE can begin to lick their wounds as they select their next GM.

I will say, Corbin, is 100%, not at fault for the WWE woes. But the WWE will try and make us believe that their failures were not of their own efforts.

TLC: SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Asuka

Should be the main event of the night. If it isn’t...wtf…

Either way, the push feels like it's for Asuka, but I can’t imagine Becky Lynch losing her title so soon. This feels like it has to go to WrestleMania, but there are issues with finding a way for Becky and Rousey to meet each other, head-to-head.

Maybe Asuka wins, Becky gets entered into the Rumble and wins it all.

We hope you enjoy the show and that this weekend helps usher in some more holiday spirit!
